PRESS: ANNOUNCING THE AMI HT / HTX – HIGH THROUGHPUT (HT) MULTI-MODAL IN VIVO IMAGING ACROSS BLI, FLI AND X-RAY
SI Imaging HQ, Tucson Arizona, May 1st, 2017.
Spectral Instruments Imaging announces the immediate availability of its Ami HT and the X-Ray capable Ami HTX instruments for high throughput (HT), pre-clinical in vivo imaging across bioluminescence, fluorescence and X-Ray modalities.
The announcement represents a new high in performance, complementing the market leading 10-mouse multi-modal capacity of the Lago and Lago X with a category leading 5-mouse capacity in the Ami HT and Ami HTX addressing the needs of smaller value-focused teams.
Most mid-market offerings from other manufacturers support 3 or fewer mice forcing researchers into juggling their specimen batches so as to work around the inherent limitations of those instruments. Other manufacturers provide adapter lenses in an attempt to expand the imaging to 5 mice but compromise on image quality and secondary artifacts.
The Ami HT and Ami HTX’s ultra-wide FOV of 25cm x 17cm for BLI, FLI and 25 cm x 15 cm for X-Ray enable these instruments with a generous 5-mouse capacity allowing researchers to work more smoothly in sets of five. No extender lenses, no gimmicks and with no compromise in quality or performance.
The Ami HT and Ami HTX not only set a new benchmark for productivity in translation dependent studies such as oncology or immunology research, along with the Lago and Lago X, they also address the growing interest in more statistically founded, larger sample sizes in small animal studies.
These instruments are an essential part of Spectral Instruments Imaging’s continuing commitment to high throughput imaging across the life cycle of pre-clinical studies. The HT initiative is fully supported by the high reliability design of the Ami hardware delivering record uptime, and by Spectral Instruments Imaging’s research centric support commitment.
The Ami HT and the X-Ray capable Ami HTX establishes a new high ground for how specialist research teams other value conscious teams can study disease progression and drug discovery without compromising higher throughput and cutting edge performance.
